Edan Archer
Edan Archer participated in Southwest: Destination Red Rocks in 2017.
"I can be inspired by anything–it comes from inside."
Edan Archer’s sound combines smooth country soul with a rock edge that makes her music an alt country dream reminiscent of Margo Price’s work. She began her musical education at an early age and honed her skills at first at Berklee College of Music and then at the University of Florida. The individual tracks on Archer’s newest album, Cruel Mother, demonstrate her diverse range and ability to be soft and lyrical at times (as is the case with the song “Boomerang”), and rough at others (like in “Ain’t That Kind of Woman). Her lyrics are a clear nod to roots rock with and range from intimate ballads to catchy country rock numbers accompanied by layered harmonies and traditional alt country guitar styles.
